Review: Bangkok Hospital Koh Samui From the moment you arrive at the entrance, you are well taken care of. Check-in is quick and efficient, and you are promptly directed to the appropriate department based on your health concerns. The hospital is very clean throughout, with a calm and pleasant ambiance that helps reduce stress during medical visits. The doctors and staff were excellent. Across multiple visits — including X-rays, scans, and follow-up appointments — I felt well cared for and professionally handled. Everything is conveniently managed in one place, including consultations, diagnostics, and medication (though prescriptions are noticeably more expensive than at local pharmacies). Payments and insurance handling went smoothly, and staff were generally helpful when clarifying billing and insurance matters. However, there is one serious issue that negatively impacted my experience: access to medical documentation. It was surprisingly difficult to obtain complete copies of my medical records. On several occasions, documents were either not handed over or only partially provided. When I requested full documentation related to my case, I felt uncomfortable — almost as if I was asking for something I was not entitled to. To be clear: any medical document written under my name is my legal right as a patient, and I expect to receive a full copy without resistance. Despite paying a significant amount for comprehensive medical investigations, I received only partial documentation. This lack of transparency was unsettling and left me with the impression that the hospital could improve greatly in respecting patient rights and trust — rather than making patients feel like they are simply a source of revenue. Overall, the medical care itself is very good, but the hospital must improve its procedures around record transparency and patient access to documentation.

I would like to sincerely thank the team at Bangkok Hospital for the exceptional care provided to my 1.5 year old son during his stay. From the doctors and nurses to all supporting staff, everyone was incredibly kind, patient and attentive. Caring for a toddler in the hospital can be stressful for parents, but the team made us feel reassured and supported every step of the way. The doctors explained his condition and treatment clearly, while the nurses were gentle, compassionate, and wonderful with children. The room was spacious, comfortable and exceptionally clean, making our stay much more pleasant. We were also impressed by the quality of the food, which was delicious and well-prepared. We are truly grateful for the professionalism, dedication and genuine care shown to our son and our family. Thank you for making a difficult time much easier. I am very satisfied with my visit to Bangkok Hospital Samui. The entire team, including both the doctors and the nursing staff, is highly competent, professional, and friendly. I felt well taken care of from the very beginning. I was especially impressed by the excellent service. From the moment I arrived, the registration at the reception was smooth and well organized. I would also like to highlight the German speaking customer service representative, Nisa. For an international hospital, this is truly remarkable. She took great care of me and made sure that my visit was comfortable and stress free. A big thank you as well to Dr. Phumiphat, who treated me. He was very professional, took his time and explained everything clearly, which made me feel very well cared for. I would also like to thank the two doctors who treated me in the emergency department. I can highly recommend Bangkok Hospital Samui, it is a place where high quality medical care meets outstanding service.
