“Absolutely the best Indian I’ve ever had! Can’t recommend this place enough went there for a dinner a few times and everything was just so delicious. Tandoori Salmon and tandoori chicken is a must try! Staff were super nice and helpful, I really hope to eat there again in the future. Great value for the money!”

“I've tried pretty much every Indian restaurant in Samui, and to me this is the best by far. Their garlic naan bread is the best I've ever had, not just in samui. The chili prawn appetizer is so damn good, i want to lick the plate clean. And the curries are excellent. Only complaint: food isn't spicy enough for me, despite telling them i want proper firey chili. But totally excellent both times i went. Will be back soon! Update October 2024: I just returned from my first-ever trip to India, and I can honestly say that the food at Basil is as good or better than 80% of the restaurants I tried in India. It's only the very, very top restaurants there that would outshine Basil, and that's expected given how hard it is to find all the ingredients here in Thailand. We are truly lucky to have Basil here in Samui!”
“Pretty good dinner, recommended place! Good service and polite staff. Also, we could pay by card, we are super thankful! Unfortunately I can't give 5 stars because one of the plates was very bad. The hummus didn't taste nice, and the bread they provided with it was very chewy. Don't order it.”
