BlackJack Bar & Hostel

The location is actually decent, right on a street full of clubs/bars and not a long walk to the beach. The rooms are clean, and the bathroom is also alright. However, there is literally no one staying there. On my first night, I was the only one at the hostel, and the other three remaining nights I stayed there, it was just me and one other person. The owners are super weird, often high, and on my first day, a woman came into the dorm room, asking me why I was staying here. Basically, she wanted me to leave until I showed her my booking confirmation and explained (with the help of Google translator) that I had already paid for the room. Totally weird experience, would not stay there again!

I'll start with the obvious... It's very central to the nightlife so it is noisy. I thought I was prepared for how noisy it was going to be, having been to this area before, but let me tell you, it is next level noisy. Like ear plugs don't even work kind of noisy. Until past 6am. Every day. Now if you're a party animal, this may not phase you and the location will be a real plus. It was simple digs and clean enough (though the blankets were ridiculously small) plus the lady at reception was super friendly. But if you do need your sleep, this may not be the place for you.

We were very well looked after. The manager always made sure that we were happy, always topped up our room supplies, and made us feel really welcomed. She was extremely kind and even let us check out later. The bar/hostels theme is really new and unique. It’s well priced and has a happy hour that lasts for a long time. I highly recommend the stay here as it’s comfortable, affordable and will soon be quite a popular place.
