“Most everyone who worked here was very friendly and helpful. The bungalow style rooms are pretty nice. Maybe a little expensive for what you get but overall it’s a nice place to stay. The breakfast buffet is fine but simple and nothing special. The pool is really nice and the beach is too but the sand isn’t very soft.”

“Came here to enjoy some nibbles over the afternoon. I was recommended one of their signature menu which is the "kua gling" pizza - made and flavoured to reflect the quintessential spicy southern Thai dish. It was really well made and I enjoyed virtually every bite. The juice alongside this spiced pizza was also very enjoyable. To top it all, the beach setting is just sublime. The breeze, endless waves and surrounding coconut palms are simply refreshing. The staff were friendly and very accommodating.”
“The pool area at New star beach has now just re opened, and non hotel residents can use the pool and restaurant area. We had a some fantastic food at the Chill by the pool restaurant and the whole family loved using the huge pool area. The pool and restaurant looks onto a beautiful quiet part of Chaweng Noi beach. The grilled marinated beef salad was the best I’ve had! Toom took really good care of us and the staff are super friendly and welcoming. You just need to message new star beach in advance to preorder food and let them know you’re coming and you get a discount and use of loungers, pools and towels provided.”

“We had dinner there 5 days ago. The view was amazing and the food was delicious. However, we spent the next following night and day vomiting and having diarrhea. We barely ate any food earlier that day because we were flying so we think it's the dinner we had there that was poisonous. We are still not fully recovered from the food poisoning now and it basically ruined our vacation in Koh Samui Since we were sick and didn't try the local food at all. Cannot believe this happened in a proper restaurant.”
