“Stayed here for 1 week and had a great time. The place is in a great location, close to many markets and bars. The rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel has 3 cute cats which we loved. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. They gave us a few recommendations for what to do and what to avoid. As other reviews pointed out, the place is a little bit dated (the rooms) but in my opinion, so are many hotels in Thailand and the value for money is still fantastic. Would stay again.”

“THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! This “hotel/hostel” does not look ANYTHING like the pictures. The pool was dirty and disgusting. When you threw something in the trash can, a lot of insects came out, and there were already insects in the room along the walls. The location was very far from the city center and from where things are happening, and you do not feel safe walking there at night. The people in the building were smoking marijuana all the time. There were also cats in the lobby, so we were not even able to walk through it. The staff told us to walk around instead of removing the cats. I would absolutely not recommend this place — choose another hotel.”

“Don’t get in a trap of good price and nice pictures from booking. This place is sanitary dangerous to stay! Moldy pillows, moldy AC and THE WORST PART IN THE MATTRESS!!! STINKY BROWN SPONGE, that people think is something soft under the bed linens. Once I entered the room I felt a smell, wanted to check the mattress, and OMG what was there, the smell of never change sweat in sponge, that had no cover. DISGUSTING! The owner agreed to change the room, but another room Had same sponge on top of the mattress, just less smelly. All pillows are moldy, I had to use blanket to sleep on, because it’s just beyond any hygiene! I’m glad i had one one night booked. CHECK YOUR ROOM ONCE ENTRY!!!!”

“I stayed at Colorize Boutique Hotel in Lamai, which has a great location next to the Lamai Buddhist Temple. The price was good, making it an affordable option. However, there were some issues during my stay. Initially, I was placed in a bungalow across from the hotel, which appeared to be sublet. After three nights, I received a note under my door informing me that the bungalow was no longer available and that I needed to move to the main hotel. This change was not requested by me, but I accommodated it. In the main hotel, I could hear rodents in the ceiling. I requested a room change and was moved to a fan room, but the noise continued. The next day, I was relocated to the top floor, where it was quieter for a few nights before the same issue returned. Pest control is needed. The rooms were okay but could use a deep clean. The staff accommodated my room changes as requested. Overall, it’s a budget-friendly hotel in a convenient location, but the rodent issue and cleanliness need attention.”
