You can clearly tell you’re being trained by someone who genuinely cares about good diving and cares about the ocean, not just ticking certification boxes. While on this journey with Discovery I got to interact with the other trainers too and I must say - the entire team consists of extremely passionate divers who does this more for their their love for the Ocean and Marine Ecosystems than anything else. “It was our first time diving and we opted for the Discover Scuba one-day, two-dives package and went to Sail Rock. Our instructors Joe and Gustavo were absolutely fantastic. I didn’t know what to expect so I was really nervous but excited. The crew were so friendly and knowledgeable, and from the minute they started briefing us when we walked in to the moment we were getting off the boat at the end, they were great company. I was genuinely so grateful to be in such capable hands. They were so patient, explained everything in detail (as many times as I asked) and Joe brought me back up to the surface as many times as I needed till I was accustomed to the dive environment. Never made me feel rushed or pressured. I was worried at the start that this experience would maybe be one of those once-in-a-lifetime, one-and-done things, but no, not at all. Their passion and love for the sport was so evident and infectious I’m now itching to go back and am definitely going to look to get my certification next! We were picked up and dropped off directly at our hotel. Food was included and lunch was quick, light, and very tasty. If you’re interested (but rightfully nervous) like me, I would say take the dive (excuse the pun). You may not like it, but you may also fall in love with it, and what you see under there isn’t comparable to anything I’ve seen in marine documentaries. You won’t know until you try, and there’s no better moment than this.”
“Had an amazing experience with this diving school during my first-ever scuba dive! A special thanks to Gustavo, my instructor, and all the other instructors and crew for being incredibly friendly, supportive, and professional throughout the experience. I got to experience scuba diving for the first time and was lucky enough to see plenty of beautiful fish and corals underwater. “We had an amazing experience getting our Advanced Open Water certification through Discovery Divers in Koh Samui with Pierre Frenoy as our instructor. Pierre made us feel completely safe and comfortable throughout the entire course. He was incredibly patient, explained every skill clearly, and made sure we understood everything before moving on. His calm and encouraging approach really helped build our confidence underwater. The equipment was also excellent quality and very well maintained, which made the whole experience even better. Pierre is truly an outstanding instructor, and we would absolutely recommend diving with him to anyone looking to learn or improve their diving skills.
