“A Mixed Bag: Fun Show, But Beware of the Tourist Traps! We visited Divas Cabaret yesterday, July 13th, for their last show at 10:30 PM (they also have shows at 8:30 PM and 9:30 PM). Our experience was a real mix, and while some parts were enjoyable, it ultimately felt like a bit of a tourist trap. On the positive side, the show itself was kind of fun. It's an hour long with upbeat music and the performers frequently change costumes, which keeps the energy up. However, there were several significant downsides. While the initial ticket prices seem reasonable (starting from 250 Baht without a drink, or around 380 Baht with a first drink), the price of additional drinks is absolutely outrageous. I paid 170 Baht for a single bottle of water, which is easily 10 times the standard price! This felt like a blatant rip-off. Another disappointment was the lip-syncing. Many of the performers seemed to just open and close their mouths without actually knowing the words, which really detracted from the performance. Finally, be prepared for the aggressive solicitation for photos at the end. Performers will approach you, but they don't state a price and effectively won't let you leave until you pay them for the opportunity. We ended up paying an extra 140 Baht for this, which felt forced and underhanded. In summary, if you go, be aware of the hidden costs and don't expect a polished lip-sync performance. The show has its moments, but the high prices for drinks and the pushy photo tactics definitely left a sour taste.”
