“We visited the restaurant as we were staying in the hotel it’s linked to, and upon arrival we were told we couldn’t sit on the beach with no explanation. We heard other couples being offered this, and even at one point a couple being asked if they were happy at the poolside or wanted to move. When we questioned why we weren’t allowed, they said it’s reserved for buffet customers but we didn’t understand as the other couples who were being offered were just having drinks. Anyway, we later read on Saturday evenings they do a fire show with buffet on the beach with live music after, which makes sense but it wasn’t explained well and the fact they let other people go there and not us was odd. We were invited back for a complimentary meal which we took them up on, but unfortunately the food was cold. We ate our starters, which were nice but then the mains came and everything (chicken kebab, beef kebab, fries, mash potato and corn) was cold, so we chose not to eat it and leave. We did appreciate the attempt for the redo but were let down again, so went for dinner elsewhere. It’s clean, and a nice place to sit just a shame about the food. The staff were all really kind to us but I do think the restaurant is over priced and you can get 10/10 food less than 1 minute walk from the hotel.”

“Restaurant belongs to outrigger hotel, but is open to public. Great beach/ocean view! Tables under roof, at pool or at beach. We've placed a reservation at beach. Please note the security to help over main street. Nice. At Saturday there was a great fire show at the beach. Main dish: We've had thai food. Green curry and pad thai. Was really delicious! Starter spring rolls had a very spicy sweet chilly sauce as dip, for me that was great. But the starter came with main dishes, no problem for us. We've ordered scoop of chocolate right away at start for our child. Very friendly waiter, child could have a look and see the preparation. The funny thing is, during our stay that night they want us to bring a chocolate scoup again, twice! One time the scoop was already made. The bill was correct, a little expensive, but the hotel is that too, so we'd know what we had to expect. My recommendation: No extra wishes 😅 And it seems to be normal that three different waiters want to get your main order 🤣 PS.: When you arrive at the hotel too early, get over to edgewater restaurant/bar, be placed at a table for a drink and snack and pay cash or by credit card. Do not try to charge your room (and your already made deposit of bhat 5000!, stay of five nights), even you've checked-in some minutes ago, because system is not ready until you get the message and get your keys.”

“After lots of small town incredible Thai food we were surprised and really impressed with how delicious the Thai food, was at Edgewater. We were also on a time limit for our flight and Joe was fantastic, organised our food to be quick, take away boxes and was lovely with the kids. The pools were great too. Would highly. Recommend for an afternoon lounge session!”

“We have been staying at the Outrigger resort and have had half board packet, so we’ve been coming for dinner almost every day. The food has always been delicious, presented very nicely and of great quality. Highly recommend Norwegian Bowl with salmon, tuna appetizer, Thai beef salad. If you feel like something healthy and delicious at the same time, grilled chicken was awesome- juicy and quite a big portion. The staff was wonderful. Kudos to Mui, who was our waitress and was doing a great job being very efficient (we were a party of 9). Joe, the manager, always made sure we had everything we needed. The atmosphere is very nice as well.”
