“I actually cried when I arrived here… went looking for vegan food and ended up in heaven. Insane atmosphere, overlooking the infinity pool, perched on the cliff side. The staff is top notch, kind, warm and welcoming. I also loved that when we asked for recommendations, they had them at the ready! The food was wonderful, fully vegan and fulfilling. I can’t say enough about this place. I loved it so much I booked to come back to stay at the resort it is a part of! 10/10 recommend.”

“This wonderful open-air vegan restaurant is set within a plant-based resort in the hills of Samui with incredible views and a serene feel. We reserved the tasting menu for ฿1000 each, which included an assigned appetizer, choice of starter and main course, chocolate cake dessert, and a glass of house wine. All of it was carefully and respectfully served. Although expensive by Thai standards, it was quite inexpensive and great value by European and American standards. The food was invariably beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, filling without being overwhelming. If you’re able to spend that amount of money, there’s no reason not to go here. If you do, you will be amply rewarded. Credit cards accepted without a fee, tax included in the price.”
“I am not vegan and i am in looove with this food! It’s fulfilling and never heavy for my stomach, no matter if I’ve eaten the whole menu list 😂 Cause it’s vegan, straight from their garden! This sea view in unreal! And a salt-water swimming pool! I don’t know where else I can find one on the island. I can easily spend dayyyysss in here! The guys are just great at service, which is quite rare”
“Coming across authentic tasting vegan italian (sicilian) food is rare in SE Asia. But Halapua....wow! This is a MUST VISIT VEGAN RESTAURANT on Ko Samui. Whether you're vegan or not, you will enjoy the food here. All of the staff were incredible, the atmosphere was great, and the sea view overlooking the pool was nothing short of stunning. Top that with some incredble tasting authentic sicialian food - A true 5 star experience.”
“TL;DR VERSION - One of Samui's food highlight. This place is a total vibe. It's straight out of dreams of millennials who want to open their hotel plus restaurant on a hill overlooking the sea. Have the tasting menu as it gives you a great chance to explore different dishes from their Italian menu. 🍽️ Food - As I recently read somewhere, the same dish might taste completely different in different surroundings and that holds true for food at Halapua. The food here is simple no nonsense but delicious. What adds to its charm is the great view, the caring staff and the overall vibe. It just elevates the overall experience. Panella - 8/10, sicilian vegan snack made with chickpea flour and fennel seeds. Polpette - Vegan meatballs with tomato sauce 7/10. Mushroom Garden - 7/10. Potatoes prepared in different styles with a mushroom gravy served in a clay pot. What's not to like!! Pesto Pasta - 8/10. You can taste the freshness of the basil pesto in this classic dish. Mango Cake - 5/10. The cream cheese frosting was very grainy possibly due to the brown sugar not mixing well. And even the fluffiness of the cake was a bit off making the dessert a bit of a let down. 👩🏻💼Service - When the co-owner herself is talking to walk-in regular guests like us, you can imagine how much attention and tlc we got. 🤌🏼 Great part is that it feels not an exception and instead seems like the norm. 🫶🏼 Ambience - Just look at the photos! 😍🤩😛”
