“This was an amazing find for my family and I. Oceanside, fantastic staff, and great food. As soon as we walked to the menu, we were met with instant hospitality. Our glasses were never empty, we received great recommendations from the staff, and they have something for everyone, from American, Italian, to authentic Thai food. The most notable for us was the unforgettable service we received from Zar, Nai, and Zaw. Their kindness was what led us to come again a second night; the best of the best. For the cost, we have no doubt that you will get your money’s worth!”

“We have been at the Happy Elephant a number of times over a number of years now and have enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service every time. Tonight Nai was our server, he was polite and always aimed to do his best. Would thoroughly recommend”
“Ordered a pink lady cocktail and Thai whisky. My partner confirmed the pink lady was a well made cocktail and I enjoyed the Thai whisky with coke. They also allowed me to sample the whisky before ordering. Ordered the mussels in white wine and cream sauce for starters/appetiser, then lobster I panang curry and rare tenderloin steak with prawn, fries and peppercorn sauce. Mussels were 10-20 seconds over cooked as a little bit chewy but the sauce was fantastic. Steak came more blue than rare but that made no difference to flavour, still melted In the mouth, just order one difference up for rarity. Lobster was cooked beautifully and paired with the spicy panang curry, it was an excellent pairing. Tasty rice accompanied with it. Ordered a date pudding with butterscotch sauce for desert. The desert was moist and a great imitation of a sticky toffee, served with both cream and ice cream. The service from Nai was excellent and was very attentive when glasses or plates were empty. We did spend a bit more due to our wedding anniversary which is to be expected. Greta experience.”
“We had an excellent experience at Happy Elephant here on Koh Samui. The entire team is from Myanmar and they were incredibly warm, attentive, and welcoming. Our waiter Ye truly stood out — very friendly, respectful, and always with a smile. You can tell he takes pride in his work, and it made our visit even more enjoyable. The food was outstanding: fresh ingredients, great flavors, beautifully presented, and perfectly cooked. Every dish we ordered was delicious, and the beachfront atmosphere made the whole experience even better. We can fully recommend this restaurant. “This is our second time here this holiday. The staff are excellent and the menu comprehensive. You can choose to sit inside , on the balcony or on the beach. We have had Thai food each time we have been and it's been excellent but they have great Italian and seafood options”
