“UPDATE JUNE 2024 Another great journey from Herbert & Company. A couple of points, for those who like to leave negative reviews. 1. HDVisa under Herbert’s leadership are trying to be as efficient as possible, dealing with and ultimately helping thousands of people. It may not be as convenient for us, but if he insists that coming to the office is the most effective way to serve/inform us, then that’s just the way it is. His house, his rules. 2. We should all learn to be quiet and patient. You are wasting his time, when you interrupt with questions. He has heard every question and scenario over the years. Let him say and do what he needs to, then ask at the end, after you have listened to and read all the provided information. Yes, Herbert can be short and strict with people. If you are fussy about food, bring your own. If you can’t follow his instructions and rules, find another company. At the end of the day, it’s the results that matter, not making friends and having a party. I probably saved 2 hours and enjoyed a trip where there were no drunks, no addicts having medical emergencies, people rudely demanding additional washroom and cigarette breaks, a proper speed boat, not a slow long tail, fast track service and made a earlier ferry home. We were never rushed, but we were on a precise and timed schedule, which is what so many people have a problem with. Responding to group chats is crucial, not for “likes”, but acknowledgment of information, to ensure no one is left behind and if they are, it’s their own fault! If you can’t handle Herbert, then this isn’t the service for you and I’m good with that, because it means I won’t be stuck next to you!🤣 I have used other services, so I can fairly compare, HDVisa is the premium service and always my first choice. 🙏 🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇹🇭🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇾🇲🇲🇲🇲🇲🇲🇲🇲 I don’t know what some of the negative reviews are talking about. Herbert is experienced, knowledgeable and actually has a great sense of humour. What he doesn’t have a tolerance for, is stupidity, people that can’t, or won’t follow simple directions and jeopardize their fellow passengers and schedule. A smooth operation, that completely took any stress out of the process. Thank you Herbert, drivers and the rest of the staff, for one more reason to love and be able to stay in Thailand! 🙏”
“HORRIBLE SERVICE - УЖАСНЫЙ СЕРВИС I just want to warn people about the HORRIBLE SERVICE I received from a guy with a ponytail. The guy was rude, impatient and very angry. And THE ONLY REASON I SEE IS HIS DISLIKE OF RUSSIAN PEOPLE because I didn't do anything wrong. I always go the extra mile with my kindness and politeness knowing that Russians can be a bit challenging. I was very polite and courteous: I greeted I smiled and I asked about the visa run service. He initially said they don't have anything available, then he mentioned my nationality, then he dropped a paper in front of me to read, I didn't even have time to read he increased his voice on me and I politely asked to be friendly. I DID NOT USE RUDE WORDS, neither did I increased my voice or BEHAVE IN A WAY THAT COULD HURT ANYONE. It is my polite request that was his reason to tell the staff to not sell me anything. Now, I understand that could have a bad day with a customer from Russia before me but that doesn't give him the right to take it on me. I want people to beware of this business. I highly recommend Samui Visa Run service as they are very kind, very polite and very helpful. I will use them from now on.”
“I don’t recommend this place. The owner changes their stance on the visa process mid-meeting, is rude and dismissive, hides service-related costs, and cannot be trusted. Edit After the owner's response, actually I have to agree with him: if you expect respect and the normal approach you're used to in Thailand, don't choose this place. But if you're masochists and enjoy being yelled at, ordered around, belittled, and it doesn't bother you because you're not made of porcelain, then this will be a great spot.”
“I have done a lot of boarder hops and, while it always a rushed affair, I've never seen it made so difficult and so unpleasant. The fact that the owner's face is the logo should have been a warning sign. The staff are nice but the owner's ego forces him to stamp about and threaten people with being thrown off of the trip (as he already has their money) for even the slightest provocation. While he clearly finds himself very impressive his rudness and poor attitude (over compensating for something?) left a bad taste over the whole trip. There are plenty of better options on the island.”
