“We went on a private picnic tour with Dai to Ko Tan and Ko Madsum. Dai was able to adjust her menu to us (vegan couple) and provide a wonderfully made lunch in a secluded spot in an island. The whole preparation of the lunch was quick (we had time for ourselves on the beach and just to chill and relax while Dai and the boat Captain prepared everything. The place she picked is practically all to ourselves and we gelt alone on a private alone with full intimacy. The food itself was perfect including desserts! Before lunch we stopped for some snorkeling in Kotan, which was awesome, although we were not alone, there weren't that many people aside from us (max 10 people and quite far from us). The snorkeling was great, we saw the reef corals, plenty of fish and even a manta ray! Overall the trip was perfect! We will definitely book again with Dai when we come back to Ko Samui!”
“I don't mean to be arrogant, but really you do want to book this day out with Island Gem Picnic. If you are a couple, it couldn't be any more romantic. If you are a family like ours, well it is still romantic with a bit of kid spice added into the mix. This was really well planned and top notch. We are a full time traveling family (2 1/2 years away from the USA) and this was rated a top experience by the family. We were picked up by private van from our hotel and taken to the boat. We had an amazing day out, on a private long tail boat, with a guide. A bit of a swim and snorkel in some really gorgeous waters, then off to your own little island for a gourmet picnic. We were very impressed with the food quality, selection and quantity. There is no way we could eat it all. Wine and beer were offered as well as soft drinks and water. We ate with real plates and silverware, even a cloth napkin. We all loved that the watermelon was carved with little handles too. The attention to detail was wonderful. Oh and we had even more time to snorkel again! What a relaxing and enjoyable day. The kids were doing the happy dance the remainder of the evening and just kept talking about it. It was a big deal to them that we had our own private boat and an experience all our own, rather than with a tour group. That comment means something, coming from very well-traveled kids. (they were fed too, so that keeps them very happy) Thanks and Kudos to Gavin and a well-run operation.”
