“Loved everything in this restaurant. All the food is authentically home cooked. You could taste that with every single dish. They have incredibly good black tea Persian style. The lamb is incredibly soft and delicious. Ghormeh sabzi was out of this world for me.. thank you Davud for your incredible hospitality and kindness. Loved your playlist and service. Absolutely one of the best Persian restaurants ever. Prices are on the higher side, but you get an amazing quality.”

“Today my husband and I had lunch here, and we both really enjoyed the food. Everything tasted delicious and felt very authentic. The staff were extremely kind, welcoming, and attentive, which made the experience even better. If the prices were a bit lower, we would definitely come here more often. But this was not our last visit. We will gladly come back whenever we’re craving koobideh and a little taste of home.”

“We had an amazing experience at Joon Persian Restaurant on Koh Samui. The food was absolutely delicious, full of authentic flavors, and clearly prepared with a lot of care. The service was extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the whole evening even better. Before the meal, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary soup, which was rich, comforting, and a perfect start to dinner. As an Iranian, I can confidently say that this restaurant truly represents Persian cuisine. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to try Persian food for the first time—or who already loves it. Definitely order the mixed meat platter, but make sure to bring 1–2 friends with you, because it’s a lot of incredibly tasty meat! 😉 We will definitely come back.”

“This was by far the worst hostel we have ever experienced. It was extremely dirty – there was dirt everywhere, and the bed sheets were very obviously not freshly changed. We even found other people’s hair in the bed, which was absolutely disgusting. On top of that, there was a strong smell of food throughout the entire place, making it even more unpleasant. When we politely told the staff member that we felt very uncomfortable and wanted to leave, we kindly asked if it would be possible to get at least one night refunded. His reaction was incredibly unprofessional and rude. He immediately became snappy, said he wasn’t the owner and that we should send an email – and then just walked away, leaving us standing there in the room. Completely unacceptable behavior. What’s also very questionable is how they handle criticism: my boyfriend already left a Google review, which they responded to very quickly – yet otherwise, you don’t hear anything from them by mail. In their response, they claimed that we were offered a different room. That’s quite interesting, considering there is only ONE room with 8 beds. So this statement is simply not true. And on top of that: if you read the Hostelworld rules, we are entitled to at least a one-night refund – which was completely ignored. Overall, absolutely not recommended. Dirty, disrespectful service, and dishonest responses to criticism. Never again.”
