“Its incredibly unfortunate, but we got food poisoning from here. We were staying in koh samui for 2 weeks and our mission was to try every michelin recommended restaurant on the island. This was supposed to be the "safe, excellent, and expensive" meal on the list. This was by far the worst value for food quality and immediately gets a 1 star due to the food poisoning. They get 2 stars only because their service and atmosphere was top notch, staff was excellent and well prepared and nothing negative to say about that. Review in detail below. Food Poisoning: As part of a 5 star resort, the minimum expectation was to have a safe and clean meal. We ordered 1 appetizer, 2 curries, 1 noodle, and 1 dessert. My friends ordered a cocktail each. I just had water. Several hours later, both were vomiting and diarrhea until the following day. One was severely poisoned and couldn't move for a whole day and we had to get medicine. His sickness lasted for 3 days straight. My stomach was queasy for the entire day with minimal bathroom issues. Price: ~$250 USD. This was just not worth it. In comparison, at other restaurants for the 3 of us, we ordered on average 8-12 dishes, 2 to 5 beers/drinks, additional juices + dessert for generally half the price or less. This is even in comparison to other recommended michelin restaurants except saffron which we didnt go to on the island. Quality: as noted, this meal gave us food poisoning and was one of the last meals we had on the island. Food Quality was mediocre. Shrimp amuse bouche was relatively basic and ok, Duck spring rolls was fried well but the meat was dry and I was expecting a more complicated flavor. Crab curry was a lot of crab but overly heavy on cream and sweetness. Young chicken curry was also dry (chicken), flavors were ok, also heavy on cream and seemed unbalanced. Pad si ew noodles were decent but could get at any local shop for 80 to 120 baht. Fried fern lead was overly sweet from oyster sauce and texture was overcooked, The desserts were ok, the creme brulee was good and mango sticky rice was decent. Innovation: Food concepts were basic with poorly executed concepts. For example, they might add a interesting ingredient to put a twist on a dish, but ultimately its just adding an ingredient not pioneering food like a true michelin restaurant would do. Presentation: generally good, no complaints. Seemed like focus was more on making things look good vs taste wise. Service: fantastic, very attentive staff who made sure we were taken care of at all times. Environment: was fantastic, this is definitely a blow your money for a great view and vibe. Entirely catered to people who dont know good food and will spend top dollar for an IG pic. Experience: overall great experience from the lobby to restaurant. However, the food quality was just mediocre that it doesnt justify essentially a 10x tourist tax. Overall: 2 stars, the only reason being for the service staff and environment. Even if the food poisoning did not happen, I couldn't really give this more than 3 stars when you compare it to other michelin recommended places on koh samui. This place has fully adapted to a westernized palette.”

“Fun for White Lotus fans but at a premium cost. We went shamelessly as fans of the poorest received of the three seasons. It definitely feels familiar although we were informed the TV crew changed a lot of furniture and shot stuff at the giant houses that aren’t accessible where we ate. Anyway - the food was excellent especially the beef salad and fish. We splurged and it cost us a small fortune. The food wasn’t outrageously better than some of meals we’ve had here in Koh Samui but it was fun to see how the rich live and the golf buggy ride from the lobby was fun.”

“I was expecting way better foods and better hospitality(at the entrance). Hospitality; We had our reservation at 6 pm and went there at 5:30(we did not want to miss the sunset and went there little bit early) Since the restaurant opens at 6 pm, they refused to let us in and made us wait near the bank at the entrance of the hotel for half hour. They have an amazing view right behind the doors and there are waiting area but we were refused to wait there. Its a huge hotel and they have a bar right next to the restaurant and also lots of areas that they could welcome us but they asked us to wait in front of the parking lot was not a good start for our night. Otherwise everyone else was perfectly welcoming and hospitable. Atmosphere; From the first welcoming area till the restaurant it has amazing views and architecture. Loved the atmosphere. Food; I was disappointed with the food served. We’ve had way better foods on Four seasons Chiang mai and i was expecting similar or better food. Tom yum was 7/10, Tuna ceviche 5/10, Duck spring rolls 5/10, Crab salad 6/10, Pad thai 6/10, Fried rice 6/10, Chicken Stir 6/10, Mango sticky rice 6/10(has same standard as they serve on mid level massage places) Maybe i was expecting too much but i definitely suggest everyone to visit these restaurants; Phensiri(9/10), wanngram(8/10),”
