“A hidden gem! I am usually the kind of person that likes to explore and try different cuisines and restaurants. So it was really unexpected for me to eat every single night for a week at L'eKrin - and all thanks to the talented chef David. It really is hard to describe this place and the food, just because the words won't do it justice. Right after lunch, David goes to the local market to select fresh fish, which he brings back to the restaurant, and makes a new menu each night. He goes around to every table explaining each fish and the different ways that he can prepare it. I am not a big seafood person, I can eat it once in a while, but I don't go crazy over it. Here - completely different. The way he prepares it... absolutely amazing. No fish smell, no bones, soft, tender, juicy. The way he plays around with the flavors and the contrasts is... well beyond me. Despite the fact that there are managers, and of course, the wait staff, he still comes out of the kitchen to check up on you, to see how you like the food, to chat. He adds a real personal touch. And after a few lunches and dinners he starts understanding your tastes even better - and caters to them. David is definitely a great chef! And not only is every dish delicious, but it is also beautifully decorated. The wine and drink selection at the restaurant is good, and you can find a good pairing for each dish. The only thing that can be improved at this restaurant, and this is something that is barely noticeable because everything else is amazing - is the wait staff. They need to be trained a bit better, especially with how they present and pour the wine. But again, this is such a minor detail, that it almost doesn't matter. If I ever visit Koh Samui again, I will definitely eat here again!”
