“Very nice stay in a great location directly on Chaweng Beach. At first, the two separate hotel buildings felt a little confusing, but after the first day it became very easy to understand and move around. The room service and housekeeping worked perfectly throughout the stay. I was especially impressed by the shower water pressure and the stable water temperature, which was honestly one of the best experiences compared to several other places I have stayed in Thailand. The pool area and beach area were both very relaxing and well maintained. The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. The location is also excellent, with many restaurants, shops, massage places, and nightlife within walking distance.”

“This stay was a complete disappointment and far below acceptable standards. The hotel was under major renovations, causing constant and unbearable noise throughout our stay. There was absolutely no disclosure of these renovations anywhere at the time of booking. Had this been clearly stated, we would never have booked this hotel. The elevator was not working, creating serious inconvenience. The rooms smelled strongly of sewage, making them unpleasant and unacceptable to stay in. The breakfast was poor, very limited, and lacked any variety. The rooms themselves are old, outdated, and in urgent need of renovation. Despite all these serious issues, the hotel refused to cancel our reservation or offer any refund, which we found highly unprofessional and unacceptable. Overall, this hotel failed on every level. We strongly advise others to avoid booking until all renovations are completed and the hotel meets basic hospitality standards.”

“I would like to share my wonderful experience at this hotel. The hotel is in an excellent location, surrounded by a wide range of convenient facilities, making it very easy and enjoyable to stay. Every aspect of the service truly stood out. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming—from the reception team to housekeeping, as well as the bar and restaurant staff. Everyone served with genuine care and warmth. Each time we encountered them, they greeted us with sincere smiles, which made our stay even more pleasant. The room was exceptionally well maintained, thanks to the attentive housekeeping staff on our floor. Their dedication ensured that everything was always clean, comfortable, and perfectly arranged. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, offering great taste and quality. I stayed at the hotel during the Songkran Festival, and the atmosphere was full of excitement. Everyone was eagerly looking forward to the water celebrations, and I was one of them—fully prepared to join in and get soaked! The overall ambiance of the hotel was flawless, with nothing to criticize. The swimming pool area was particularly impressive, featuring two sides that guests can choose from, both offering beautiful views. I highly recommend spending time there. I sincerely hope to return and meet all the wonderful staff again very soon. I truly cannot wait for my next visit.”
“This is my third time staying at Matcha, and I’m super satisfied. The location is really convenient, and even though the building looks a bit old but it’s well-kept and very clean. They surprised me with a birthday cake at the beachfront restaurant during my first stay. I was really impressed that they noticed my birthday at check-in. The staff at the breakfast buffet and beachfront restaurant were all really attentive and friendly. I can’t remember everyone’s name, but Kae remembered how I like my eggs and always offered to make them that way. The food at the beachfront restaurant was amazing — two thumbs up to the chef! The receptionists Neel, Music, and Dean were super helpful. I extended my stay and had to switch rooms, and they arranged a smooth transfer with my bags. I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m back in Samui.”
