“I surprised my wonderful partner with a belated Valentine's romantic getaway. The resort is absolutely stunning, with lush tropical gardens, and we took lots of memorable photos during our short 5-minute walk to the beach. After waiting a few minutes, our beachfront romantic dinner was ready, and it was an incredible experience to watch the sunset. The team members were friendly, attentive, and even took lovely photos of us. The meal was delicious—a beautifully arranged 7-course set menu with many other options. The variety of food was tempting, and the wine paired perfectly with the dishes! The candles, flowers, and open pergola created a truly breathtaking setting. We loved every moment of this special evening, and it’s a memory we will cherish forever. Thank you again for such a wonderful experience!”

“We stayed at Melati Resort for 4 nights with our 2 kids and we absolutely loved it. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a little tropical escape. The resort is set on a quiet stretch of beach that feels almost private, which made it incredibly peaceful and relaxing. The whole place is beautifully designed, surrounded by lush gardens and with a real sense of space and calm. We stayed in a spacious villa with a private pool which is perfect for families and such a luxury to have your own space to unwind. One of the highlights was the option for a private dinner on the beach, which felt really special. The spa was also amazing, we had one of the best massages there. What really stood out to us was how genuinely kind and warm everyone is, the staff made us feel so welcome throughout our stay. There’s a small but lovely kids club right by the pool, which made it easy to combine relaxing and keeping the kids entertained. The pool area at he beach is beautiful, with a swim-up bar, and we really enjoyed the different dinner themes in the evenings. If you feel like exploring, Choeng Mon Beach is just a short scooter or taxi ride away with some great beach restaurants. Right next to the resort there’s also a small local spot on the beach where you can enjoy simple Thai dishes, grab an ice cream, or even get a massage. Overall, a beautiful, luxurious and very family-friendly place, perfect if you’re looking for a peaceful stay with a bit of everything.”
“What a wonderful experience from stepping out of the taxi until checking out. As a person who has traveled in different countries around the world I would highly recommend this hotel if you visiting Koh Samui. All staff are so helpful and nice. You feel more like a part of the family than just a guest with a room number. The breakfast were really good, they had something for everyone, they also changed some of the courses from day to day which was fun. The caramel sauce and bread and much more were homemade which gave that “little extra”. Excellent food, from Thai cuisine to English fish and chips. The rooms had everything you can ask for. Spacious environment, bathroom facilities, board games and wardrobes and cabinets. A lovely experience. A bit pricier than other hotels, but you don’t mind while you get to enjoy everything I wrote above. After a couple of days after checking out of this hotel we came back to enjoy a stunning dinner and the staff remembers us and was very welcoming. Thank you!”
“Beautiful hotel and spacious rooms. Very average service though, which makes the experience less pelasant. We were given rooms about 6/7min walk from the main pool and restaurant, which is very inconvenient with a young child who still naps and needs a lot of back and forth trips to the room. We were however close to the adults pool but couldn't use it as it had a no kids policy. It would've made more sense to be closer to the kids pool and kids club. Breakfast is very average. Staff not professional and level of service below expectations. The spa is beautiful but the massage also very average. I paid for a 90min massage but was only given 75 minutes. For the price definitely not worth it.”
“Melati Beach Resort & Spa is a visual masterpiece. If you are looking for a resort that feels like a tropical botanical garden, this is it. However, while the grounds are a perfect 10/10, the actual experience of "luxury relaxation" was a bit hit-and-miss during our stay. 🌿 The Highlight: Landscape & Rooms The garden and layout of the resort are 10 out of 10. It is incredibly beautiful—lush, well-maintained, and already worth a visit just for a walk through the grounds. We stayed in a Garden Pool Villa, which I highly recommend for the privacy. The Room: Bright, spacious, and filled with natural light. The Private Pool: A small but very nice plunge pool that we enjoyed immensely. Minor Note: The outdoor shower was a lovely touch, but the water pressure could definitely be stronger. 🏊 The "Sardine" Factor: Pools & Beach This was our biggest struggle. Despite the beauty, the resort felt too crowded. The Hunt for a Sunbench: It was often impossible to find a sunbench at the pool or the beach. When you did find a spot, you were packed in so tightly with other guests that it was hard to feel any sense of relaxation. The Children Policy: We were looking forward to using the "Sanctuary" garden pool, only to be told upon arrival that children are not allowed there. This was frustrating because the booking website wasn't clear about this. If you have kids, you are essentially relegated to the crowded beachside pool. If I had known this beforehand, I likely wouldn't have booked. 🏖️ The Beach: A Hidden Gem The beach itself is fantastic. It’s small, private, and has a very unique "Seychelles" vibe with large stones and crystal-clear water. The sand is super soft and white—perfect for snorkeling right off the shore. 🍳 Dining & Service Breakfast: A very nice choice and high quality. I did wish there were a few more traditional Thai dishes available, but overall, it was a great start to the day. Staff: Excellent. Everyone from the gardeners to the front desk was incredibly helpful and friendly. Final Verdict The price value is okay, but I felt that certain "luxury" details were missing here and there. While the landscape and staff are world-class, the overcrowding at the communal areas made it hard to truly unwind.”
