“Hotel and the staff were great and friendly! They remembered our names and made us feel welcome from the beginning. The main pool is across the road but that did not inconvenience us because it was easy to get across with the security helping to control traffic. The only thing that hampered our stay was the house keepers did not have our room cleaned by 3pm. We went to breakfast and the pool by 9am and thought if we stayed out till 3 or 4pm the room would be cleaned and done which did not happen 2 of the 3 days we stayed. I had to find a maid cart for TP and ask for clean towels. The third day I found a housekeeper early in the morning and asked to please have our room cleaned and she obliged kindly. Town is about a 15 min walk from the hotel and we did not mind that at all as we like to walk but a Grab ride is only like 300 or 400bht which is cheap. I enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Outrigger hotel as a great place if you are in the area!”

“We loved our time at the Outrigger. While the rooms are rather dated, the beach is lovely as is the pool area. We also got locked out on our balcony (careful, there’s no handle on the outside of the door. Luckily we had our phones so were able to come quickly. The door bolt, being old, fell down when we closed the door. Ver closed the door to keep mosquitoes out of our room). While the pool area is across the very busy street, crossing guards seem to be there most of the time, certainly whenever the pool was open) to help you cross the street. We had a view of the back garden from our window.”
“5 Stars. Resort is beautifully kept. 2 stars. I booked a Superior Balcony Twin Room. It’s described as 32m2 with 2 queen size beds. Depending on what you consider a queen size, for European standard these are ‚single beds‘ only. And the 32m2 feel really really tiny. The balcony offered nothing other than a laundry string. I had to call the reception and request a table and 2 chairs to even be able to ‚relax‘ on the balcony. 1 handle on the balcony doors was broken, so one could only go out through 1 half, let alone the house maids having to manoeuvre the balcony furniture. Rooms are very noisy. You can hear your neighbours talk as if they stand next to you and not to mention the doors opening or trolleys passing. Aircon at night very loud. 4 stars. However the rooms look really nice. 3 stars. Pool area offers a lot. But all impacted by the nasty smell coming from the beach, which has been covered with seaweed mountains for days making it impossible to go swimming let alone put one foot on the sand. No one seems to be in charge of keeping the beach clean, guest friendly.”
“Great place for a quiet getaway. Quiet pool. Family pool over the road. (Bit of an inconvenience but traffic wardens to help you over and an amazing sea view. So worth the bother ). Planet options at breakfast. The staff are so attentive and friendly. Mui was brilliant at looking after us and making us feel welcome every morning) Rooms big clean and aircons 👌🏻. Balcony is a little smaller than what I’m used to but does the job. Well worth a visit if coming to lamai.”
