Parma By Mozza

I recently visited Parma by Mozza in Koh Samui (located in Central Festival Samui), and it turned out to be one of the standout dining experiences I’ve had on the island. The food was mostly excellent, but what truly elevated the evening was the exceptional service from start to finish. Right from the moment we stepped through the door, the staff greeted us with such warmth and enthusiasm. Every single person we passed—servers, hosts, even the kitchen team peeking out—smiled, said hello, or welcomed us personally. It felt genuinely welcoming and made us instantly comfortable. Throughout the meal, they were incredibly attentive: they checked in at just the right moments, kept our drinks topped up without hovering, and handled every little request with a smile. A real highlight was when I asked if they could turn the music down a bit because our table was right next to a speaker—it was a polite ask, but they adjusted it immediately and without any fuss. That small gesture actually made my night so much more enjoyable. It’s the kind of thoughtful service you don’t always get, especially in a busy spot. Speaking of busy—the restaurant was packed, which is always a reassuring sign that it’s a popular and well-loved place. Despite the crowd, our food arrived surprisingly quickly, and everything was cooked to perfection with fresh, high-quality ingredients. We started with some bread, which took a little longer than expected to arrive, but once it came, it was decent—fresh and enjoyable. We also ordered mussels, and they were absolutely delicious: plump, tender, and bursting with flavor in a nice, savory broth that was rich without being overpowering. They were served with some tasty garlic bread on the side—perfectly toasted and garlicky, ideal for mopping up every last bit of that broth. It was a fantastic starter. Moving on to the mains: the Burrata with tomatoes was spot-on perfect—creamy burrata paired with juicy, ripe tomatoes for a beautiful, fresh balance. The spaghetti with clams had great flavor (the clams were cooked beautifully), but it was a tad too light on the sauce; it really needed more liquid to properly coat the pasta and make it sing. Still, it was tasty overall. The penne with salmon and pink sauce was creamy, well-seasoned, and satisfying. And the pepperoni pizza stole the show—the dough was super fresh, incredibly light and airy with just the right crisp, making it easy to eat without feeling weighed down. Easily one of the best pizzas I’ve enjoyed in Koh Samui. Prices are on the higher side (as you’d expect for authentic Italian in a tourist-friendly spot), and there’s no complimentary water—you’ll need to purchase bottled if you want it—but for the quality of the food, the fresh ingredients, and especially that outstanding, super-friendly hospitality, I think it’s absolutely worth it. If you’re in the mood for genuine Italian cuisine in a vibrant atmosphere with staff who go out of their way to make you feel special, Parma by Mozza is a must-try. We’ll definitely return on our next trip to Koh Samui!

Great food overall! The Pizza, Sea Bass Steak, and Burrata with Pesto (amazing taste) were outstanding. The Gnocchi was okay. Good service and nice ambiance. Highly recommended

I ordered the truffle pasta and the seafood pasta at this restaurant. Overall, they were tasty, but the seasoning was lighter than traditional Italian pasta, so it felt a bit bland. The seafood itself was fresh, though. I didn’t order a pizza, but it definitely looked good.
