“My girlfriend and I stayed at Samaya Wellness Resort for six nights and overall had a mixed experience. Upon check-in, we encountered a leaking fridge in our room, which staff addressed promptly. However, we also discovered there was no hot water and had to report this separately; it was resolved the following morning. While the issues were handled efficiently, it was not ideal after a long day of travelling, particularly as one of us was feeling unwell and hoping for a hot shower. The room itself was pleasant. While it is clear that some areas could benefit from a bit of TLC, this did not significantly detract from our stay. On our third night, we were unfortunately woken at around 4:30am by a neighbouring couple arguing loudly, which was both unsettling and frustrating, especially as we had an early boat trip the next morning and ended up with very little sleep. To their credit, the staff handled the situation quickly and professionally, and were very accommodating once we raised the issue. We were able to change rooms, experienced no further disturbances, and enjoyed a nicer view thereafter. We had seen prior reviews mentioning an air conditioning smell, which we did notice slightly, though it was not severe. The staff throughout our stay were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The pool area was a lovely space to relax, the bed was comfortable, and the resort is well suited for a short stay or for guests who plan to be out exploring, as it provides all the essential amenities. In terms of location, the resort is situated on a very busy road, which can make access a little challenging, and road noise may be a consideration for some. That said, from our room we did not experience any noticeable noise. Overall, the resort has a lot of potential, and with some maintenance upgrades, it could offer an even better guest experience.”

“Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was very disappointing. We were assigned a room facing a main road with constant and extremely loud traffic noise. It was impossible to sleep during our first night. For a hotel that promotes wellness and relaxation, this was unacceptable. We immediately informed reception and politely requested a quieter room. We were not asking for an upgrade or a sea view, only a room where we could rest. The only alternative offered was another room in the same noisy area, and we were told that any quieter room would require paying extra. We felt that our concerns were not taken seriously and no real solution was provided. Due to the lack of sleep and the way the situation was handled, we decided to check out early and relocate to another hotel. This was a very stressful start to our vacation, and we lost valuable time dealing with an issue that should never happen in a wellness resort. We would not recommend this hotel to travelers who value rest, tranquility, or professional guest care.”
“Over all the hotel is beautiful with relaxing vibes. But... I arrived after a long day of flights, and unfortunately the experience started badly. The receptionist gave me a lower-category room, explaining that my original room had a water leakage issue. I had booked this room 5 months in advance, so this didn’t make sense, especially when the hotel clearly had availability. After waiting about another 40 minutes while she spoke to her manager, I was finally given the room I originally booked. I specifically asked if everything was fine with it, and she assured me there was no issue. The next night, I found out that wasn’t true. In the middle of the night, the entire bathroom flooded, and water spread into the entrance and carpet, likely from the neighboring room. It was actually dangerous, and I almost slipped. Instead of relaxation, the stay felt frustrating. It’s a shame, because the hotel itself has good potential. the pool is nice and the beach is beautiful. But the management is clearly lacking. I also didn’t receive any apology or compensation throughout my 8-night stay. One more note: the bed is quite hard, so keep that in mind if you prefer a softer mattress.”
“I had high hopes for my stay at Samaya Wellness Resort, but my experience turned into a nightmare. On February 29, 2026, as I was exiting the elevator, the door suddenly closed on my arm, causing a serious injury. The lack of safety measures is shocking for a place that claims to prioritize wellness! I spent the rest of my vacation in pain and confined to my room, unable to enjoy any activities, including a training camp I had already paid for. Instead, I was shuttling back and forth to the hospital, racking up over 26,000 baht in medical expenses and taxi fares. The emotional distress and physical pain ruined what was supposed to be a family getaway. The management's negligence in maintaining the elevators is inexcusable, and their duty of care to guests clearly was not met. I have reached out to them for compensation for my medical costs and the lost enjoyment of my holiday, but they have been unresponsive. I strongly advise anyone considering this resort to think twice. Your well-being should never be compromised like mine was. Avoid at all costs!”
“The hotel is great and the staff is very friendly and helpful. My toilet seat was loose and they repaired it in less than 15 minutes after I asked them about it. They have a very good mattresses, some of the best I have slept on in any hotel, including in my home country of Switzerland. I booked a sea view room and got an awesome room. The room offers two bottles of Water every day a water boiler, tea and instant coffee. The only thing I would recommend for the Hotel is a service witch fills up the fridge with beverages like Coke and Fanta. and mabe some snaks like chips or nuts. Of course, there is a 7/11 about 500 metres away, but I still would have liked this. Let me continue with breakfast. It was very good with lots of different things to eat. The eggs are freshly made for you in the kitchen in the morning. One of the best things about breakfast is that they have a bean coffee machine. Not just powder coffee, which is a very rare thing to find in a 3-star hotel. So, all in all, we had an awesome experience, and if we ever visit Ko Samui again, we will definitely come to the Samaya Hotel again. Thank you again for all the Help and for the great staff, and I wish you all a great day! One thing I wanted to add is that if you book a room facing the street, it's very noisy because this is the main road for Ko Samui and there is a lot of traffic. I recommend booking a room facing the garden or sea.”
