“Sharing my experience on getting over to Koh Samui by the ferry using van. We had a very unpleasant experience & it goes like this…we spent a night in Khanom & to get to the ferry terminal early the next morning. We arrived ( by the way, we hired a Thai van 10 seaters) at the dock at 8:45am. Because we didn’t ( couldn’t get online to purchase the van ticket) buy ferry tickets in advance, as for passengers tickets, there is no issue. But as for vehicles it is a first come first served. We got the van ticket at 13:30 schedule to go on board. The van didn’t board the ferry until 17:30. It is a 1 hour 30 minutes ferry ride to get across, it was a madness wait to go over to Koh Samui. So the lesson here is to buy pre booked van ticket online atleast 2 or 3 days ahead before travel. Pre-booked lane is a separate queue lane. Take my advice… travel safe & have a great trip.”
