“My son and I had our first ever dive today with The Dive Academy. From the very beginning we felt safe and in good hands. Our instructor Bjørn made sure that we understood everything thoroughly before we got in the water and took his time to make us comfortable — both before we went under the surface and during the actual diving part. It was such an amazing experience for both my son and me. I would definitely recommend The Dive Academy to anyone who wants to experience the joy of diving while on Koh Samui. “I went diving with the Dive Academy in Koh Samui at Sail Rock, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. Everything was perfectly organized and very well prepared. The briefing and debriefing were clear, structured, and helpful. The equipment was in excellent condition. A special thanks to Dive Master José – with his calm and relaxed attitude, he made the dive truly enjoyable and ensured we felt safe at all times. The dive itself was incredible – huge schools of fish like I had never seen before. Truly impressive! Highly recommended – I would definitely dive with you again!”
“Very disappointing experience and highly unprofessional service. Three days before my trip, I specifically asked whether Nitrox would be available and was assured that it would. On the actual dive day, however, I was told by the manager that the Nitrox machine was broken and that nobody was using Nitrox, except for me on one dive. Once I boarded the boat, I discovered that this was not true. Almost everyone else was using Nitrox tanks for two of their dives, while I was the only diver who did not receive the Nitrox that had been promised during booking. Being given misleading information was extremely frustrating. As a result, I had to end one of my dives after only 28 minutes due to air consumption limitations, which significantly impacted my diving experience. The boat itself was dirty and poorly maintained. In addition, some of the guides appeared inexperienced. I was also picked up by a Myanmar driver who told me he was not allowed to drive me, which raised concerns about whether proper licensing and operational procedures were being followed. Overall, the service was disorganized, misleading, and far below the standard I would expect from a professional dive operator. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.”
“Very good experience from Koh Samui. Nice boat crew, very friendly international team of instructors. Speaking probably every western language. Would recommend to provide/bring ear-plugs for the speedboat passengers and crew. Noise levels exceeding 95db after 1-1.5 hours of ride each way are harmful without protection.”
“I had my first beginner dive recently with The Dive Academy in Koh Samui, and boy was it brilliant! I had opted for the Discover Scuba Diving with my friends, 2 dives on a single day around Koh Tao, I had immense fun. First of all, I had no experience with swimming and was able to manage myself very much all because of my awesome instructor, Nikolaos A Nikolakis aka Nick. He made us very comfortable by explaining every little detail during our briefing and also during our rides to the dive spots. Although the visibility on the day we did our dives wasn't very great, I got to see a lot of marine life, which I have discussed with Nick out of sheer interest after our dive and he took some time to show us the dive guide for Koh Tao back at the pier with which we had a fun activity identifying what we saw. Leia helped us with the photos and videos during our dive, I must say that she did a splendid job, although some of us didn't get a lot of great shots but that's just bad luck and timing. Truly grateful to The Dive Academy Samui for this experience, which only made me want to dive again and also probably get certified sometime in the future which was also the only thing Nick asked of us when we thanked him for his help. :)”
