The Dogfather

We couldn’t recommend this dog hotel enough! Our dog absolutely loves staying here and gets excited every time we arrive, which says everything. The owner is an experienced dog trainer who truly has the dogs’ best interests at heart. You can feel the care, knowledge, and attention that goes into everything they do. The staff are incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely loving with all the dogs. It’s rare to find a place you can trust this much we always feel comfortable leaving our dog here. What we especially appreciate is that this place focuses on the well-being of the dogs above everything else. It feels so refreshing to find somewhere that prioritizes their happiness, comfort, and needs rather than just the aesthetic. If you’re in Samui and need a dog hotel this is definitely the place to go as it’s in the forest nice and cool plenty of odours for our furry friends, and they get to go on nice walks in nature .

From the moment we checked in, I could see how relaxed and comfortable they were with you — your calm, casual demeanor instantly showed your experience and care. After two weeks away, I picked them up to find them both calm, happy, and clearly well looked after. We boarded our dog Lola with Michael and his team at The Dogfather for a one-month board and train program. She’s an ex-street pup, sweet but boisterous, headstrong, chewing up everything in the house, barking a lot, escaping at every chance, and not responding to our training efforts. When we visited her during the program, we were amazed. She was clearly happy, bonded with Michael, playing confidently with other dogs, and already responding to commands with consistency and discipline—even in the middle of play, which was incredible to see. Since bringing her home, she’s like a new dog. She listens, follows commands, hardly tries to chew, and is overall calmer and more respectful of us as her leaders. It’s now up to us to maintain what she’s learned, but the foundation Michael gave her is rock solid. If you’ve adopted a dog out of love but don’t have the time or skills to train properly, this training is the best gift you can give to your dog—and to yourself. Happy dog owner here! 😁
