“We stayed at the W Koh Samui from May 8–11 to celebrate my mother’s birthday, and the experience exceeded every expectation. Even before we arrived, the reservations team and management reached out with such warm and thoughtful emails, asking how they could personalize our stay. It immediately made us feel genuinely cared for. We traveled with our 5 month old baby, and the hotel went above and beyond by providing a bottle sterilizer, baby bath seat, crib, and baby amenities, details that made a huge difference for us as parents. For my mother’s birthday, they provided us with a complimentary birthday cake, which was a lovely touch. Everything was exceptional- The staff, the villa, the cleanliness, the restaurants, the beach, and especially the attention to detail throughout the entire stay. True five-star hospitality in every sense. We had an amazing time and already can’t wait to come back. Highly, highly recommended.”

“I stayed at this hotel with high expectations. However, the experience did not fully match what was presented in the promotional photos. While the property has many positive aspects, it is clear that the hotel is showing its age. At approximately 16 years old, the wear and tear are noticeable throughout the area. The villa was spacious and comfortable, but the ageing wooden flooring, walls, and some furnishings were evident. Although the room was clean and well-maintained, certain pieces of furniture would benefit from refurbishment or replacement. One of the hotel's strongest features is its location. Situated directly on the beach and within walking distance of Fisherman's Village (30min walk), it offers excellent access to both the sea and local attractions. The beach itself is beautiful, with two separate beachfront areas providing stunning views, especially during sunrise and sunset. The breakfast selection was varied and enjoyable, and the staff throughout the hotel were exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. However, the location of the breakfast area may present challenges for guests with mobility limitations or those using strollers, as it sits between the upper lobby and lower accommodation levels (no lift directly). While the beach setting is excellent, some of the sunbeds could benefit from better maintenance and attention to hygiene. Food served around the pool was average, so guests should manage their expectations. I also tried the sushi from the Japanese restaurant by the beach during sunset. While the setting was fantastic, the food itself was fairly average. There are several charming spots around the hotel, including a lovely ice cream spot that is perfect for cooling down after a day at the beach. Overall, the hotel has tremendous potential thanks to its prime location, beautiful views, and dedicated staff. With some investment in maintenance and refurbishment, the guest experience could be significantly enhanced. Small improvements would make a noticeable difference and help the property live up to its surroundings. A sincere thank you to all the staff for their hospitality and for making my stay an enjoyable one.”
