Service here fluctuates between solid 4 and standout 5 stars, depending on your server. I’ve had both immaculate, attentive service and also the kind that’s just “fine”—pleasant but not particularly memorable. Now, this review is specifically for dinner, and let’s be honest: it leans more toward 3 stars in that department. For the price point, the food needs a lot more punch. I had to send dishes back asking for flavor (yes, flavor), and when they returned, they had more seasoning—but were now lukewarm, clearly just doctored up rather than freshly remade. Pro tip: if you like your food with Thai flair, be upfront about wanting bold flavors. The kitchen seems a bit shy about delivering them. What bumps this review up to 4 stars is the breakfast. The buffet is extensive and genuinely impressive—with everything from fresh coconuts to flavorful Thai dishes that finally show what the kitchen is capable of. It’s a great way to start the day, and if dinner could catch up to breakfast in both flavor and consistency, Zest could truly live up to its spectacular setting”

“Went around 6pm to watch the sunset. Unfortunately due to the weather, we couldn't see the sunset but the food was great! We had fried fish salad, tomyumgung, beef curry, steamed fish, morning glory. All good. However, please try the mango sticky rice as dessert. 10/10”
“Zest serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. We didn’t like the breakfast but the dinner was great. We only went to Zest for breakfast one time, but I got PTSD from the group of ants that bit me on the cushion, so we never went back again during breakfast time, even though breakfast was included in our room rates. The selection of the food wasn’t impressive either. They called us and apologized and asked us to try again during dinner time, which we did, although I was still a bit afraid of sitting outside. My husband check that multiple times before I could sit and I still couldn’t lean back. But the Thai food was alright. It was the best Tum Yum soup we had this entire trip in Thailand. Additionally we loved the massaman curry beef as well. The mango sticky rice was pretty good too. I would give this dinner experience alone a four star. I’d recommend trying out the Thai food but not breakfast.”
“They are open for breakfast and dinner here. Breakfast spread was great, there's even a smoked house for salmon. Many of the ingredients, including chicken and duck eggs, are harvested in house as they have their own farm. They offer thai food menu for dinner, including mookata. The selection and taste were great!”
“The price, the view and the quality are both ceiling in Samui. The best Thai cuisine I have ever tried, from seafood pai Thai to beef curry are just amazing. Just shocked by the Panna water price, which is 280 thb….and the staff didn’t inform us in advance.”
